Hi all,

Getting a PSP for xmas, what would you buy gamewise? I think i am getting Need for Speed and EA Classics with it (road rash etc).

Any suggestions?

GTA is excellent.

Of late I've been playing Manhunt 2 (which is rather good, albeit disturbing).

Just been playing Ridge Racer 2. Only a mild revision over the first, but huge fun. Sega Rally is also incredibly enjoyable, but not exactly long-lasting.

Loco Roco is an excellent puzzler type.

Both GTAs are worth getting.
Burnout legends is the racing game I've enjoyed the most so far.
If you like football I'd get one of the PES's. Unless the players have to be up to the minute for you, I'd save £15-20 and get an earlier version rather than the most recent.
Loco Roco is pretty decent.

Currently on my hit-list to get is a COD/MOH and Ratchet and Clank.

Get a decent sized pro duo card for it too, 4gb is about £30 now.
PSP video 9 is the software you want for encoding divx/avi/mpg to mp4 for it.

GTA is on my list, i got the Burnouts on the PS so will have a look into that.

Hodgy, the reason i am getting it is to kill time at the Pod! Maybe get some 2 player on the go?

Thanks for the responses everyone, i will go raid the Sales i think.

Where did you bag a copy of that little number then?

Also to the OP, Lego Star Wars 2 kept me entertained for a good few months

Wipeout Pure is a cracking game. Also, not sure if the PSP version of God of War is out yet, but if it is, get that. Before anything. Including rent, heat and food.

I have found the games a little disappointing up to yet. I think the psp has far more potential. They really need to do an emulator for the ps1 games, then you would be talking. The Syphon Filter titles are pretty good and ive got Silent Hill: Origins coming for christmas, but game developers should stretch it more - it's a hell of a unit. If mine was nicked tonight,I would get another tomorrow. It has so many uses other than gaming. You will be glad you had one!
