For an Indicator switch our Locust is fitted with a simple 3 way toggle switch on the dash, mounted sideways! You have to admire the self confidence behind this minimalst approachlaugh Somewhere at the top of the dash is a wee warning light. Now, if it was nightime I may just notice this subtle green blink, but in daylight, roof off, no way. I like to think that it brightens up everyone's day by driving around with L.H. indicator on all the time..nono

Does anyone know where I can obtain one of the old "clockwork" type dash fitted switches as fitted to old Farina A 40's and , if I remember Frogeyes?

Also, the headlamp dip switch is another anonymous toggle switch strewn haphazardly somewhere on this dashboard of identical switches. Anyone make a dash specific dip switch? No, but NO room on the floor for this. Checked CBS catalogue and can't see any solutions for these problems.

Fitting a buzzer to the circuit is the perfect (and lowcost)solution to
non self cancelling indicators on a 7, see hear,
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/oakwood_d...

go to hints and tips section, how to wire an indicator buzzer, you can buy the parts for under £2.
You can also purchase an electronic self cancelling indicator switch from Westfield sportscars, not cheap, about £50-60 I think

two other good sources of switches are either vehicle wiring products or premier wiring. Google is your friend

I put a buzzer (99p from maplin) in the indicator circuit, reminded me they were on. The one I got for the left hand turn played a variety of western tunes!!

Now, there's a thought. Could I get one that plays Leftfield's Leftism for turning Left, and Right Said Fred for turning Right?? hippy

Not cheap, but this is what you have in mind, I think.

Alternatively, quite a few bikes have self-cancelling indicators; a trip to your local bike breaker should sort you out.
