Doubtless asked before but has anyone removed the “VAUXHALL” badge (not the griffin) from the rear of the car and lived to regret it?

Heat said area with your missis hair dryer then use dental floss to cut off the badge. Any remaining tape can be cleaned off with white spirit or similair.

Very easy job. . . although prepare for an onslaught as this always appears to divide opinions

Mine fell off before I bought it. I'm happy enough with it like that.

yes i used an hot air gun and an old credit card, but as above youll need some sort of tar&glue remover to get the residue off....

These dont have the little hole in the boot where the alignment peg goes then?

RS label remover p/n 496-215 works well on most sticky substances. Maplin sell several things which look similar. I would be interested to know how you get on as I may want to remove my Monaro badge as it has corroded. The Vauxhall one is OK - obviously stronger stuff. I guess I may try a "warrantee claim" at the next service but no doubt Drive will refuse it and want £100s for the badge!

Badges came off easy, i just pulled the letters off with my fingers and the same with the one on the bonnet. Have now fitted the Holden badges front and rear that i got from OZ.

Eh? If it is a VXR then surely it should have HSV badges, not Holden ones?
