Anyone know how to enable both Dipped and Main Beam???

Hi all - just had some very nice 600k HID's fitted to the dipped beam on my T350 and can say what an improvement in lighting. Can see so much more now its unreal. No-where near the German xenons but still much better.
My only annoyance is that when you enable full beam the dipped beam is switched off which is a bit of a pain as it would surely make much more sense to have both enabled (as it is more light). I know the main beams are very good and will only use them now and again but would make more sense if both could be enabled.
Anyone got any ideas?????

REALLY! even before the kit was fitted the main beam operated completely independently of the dipped beam.
When the lights are flashed both of them come on, but when main beam is activated the di[pped beams definitely go off.
Does anyone else's do this?
Since the HID kit was fitted the operation has not changed at all. The kit I bought was £180 and called Xenovis - came recommended by a few people and I can say that Im definitely impressed.

Thats really strange how some are seperate and some are enabled so that both dipped headlights and full beam are on at the same time.
I drove back and forwards over the North York moors over the xmas break and I have to say it was very annoying having to switch to the halogen yellow full beams. I even found myself holding the flasher stalk so that both full beam and dipped were on and they were awesome.
I need to enable them both now. Someone must know how to do it?

You just caused an argument. I had to go and check, again, this time with engine running and a spotter. My partner didn't quite understand what I was asking - for her to check main and dipped beam simultaneously - above 100+db noise in the garage. Anyway, she did indeed confirm both were on as she stormed back in the house.
