Alternator details

What's up with the old one Bunglist? Just askin' because earlier in the year I stripped down my old unit and replaced the bearings etc; took me a couple of hours to do and cost me about £12 (easy job). I posted the procedure on here someplace. Parts for most alternators can be bought on-line at reasonable cost.
Additionally, I found that the prices for the same alternator varied enormously. I could pay double (or again half) for a similar unit so shop about.

Not 100% shaw, but there is strong electrical burning smell from it and part of the electrics on the back, i think are playing up.Additionally, I found that the prices for the same alternator varied enormously. I could pay double (or again half) for a similar unit so shop about.
