Houx Annexe 2008

In today's local paper it was announced that, in principal, the work will start on the new football stadium next June although there are still a few things to sort out before everything is agreed and that things won't be fully finalised until January/February. The contract with the sponsor was signed a month back and on the 3rd December with the constructors. Now whether that means that the Annexe will be in use for the 24 hours in June is anyone's guess. If they start work beforehand, then no, but it seems to me that there is still a slim chance that it will be available for the very last time. I shall keep in touch with the ACO and keep you posted if there is any change to the current position. A new hotel is to be built alongside with 100 rooms with a view over the Mulsanne straight. That'll not be cheap though!

I (along with various others) would be extremely annoyed if Houx Annexe isn't in use next year as we have been guaranteed places on the site (and paid for them).
I would imagine that building work would commence very shortly after the race as it would then give them a whole year to build and find an alternative space for a new campsite. After all, part of going to Le Mans is about the camping!! (and the beers)
