I'm having trouble saving the work that I edited in Photoshop (CS2)
If I open a RAW file from 'my pictures', Photoshop starts up and I can adjust the white balance, exposure etc.
However, when I try to save the image (as a jpeg) it loses much of the colour that I have just set up!
Basically, I edit my Raw file to get a result i'm happy with, but when I save my work it looks all washed out!!!
Is anybody able to let me know what I need to do, or what I'm doing wrong, as I really need to get these pics printed for Christmas!
Cheers!

What are you opening the .jpeg file in? CS2 as well? Should look as expected...

Also, is it the printer process that is causing the problem?

If I use the standard XP windows / fax viewer to print I get really pale washed out colours. I use the program that came with my Canon printer, and that works for me.

Thanks Chris,

Yes the JPEG in CS2 looks fine, but I store and view my files in the standard windows picture and fax viewer.... this is when the pictures look different.

So it sounds like it's just the different program that makes the pics look different!

Thabks again.

hehe - that'll be the "Microsoft compatability" then wink

If they look on in CS2, then you should be able to print them OK. I know it won't help you now, but upload them to photobox & order them and you should get them just after Christmas.

They are currently offering 10 free 7"x5" prints as well.

Hope you get sorted OK

Do you know what colour space the files are in? If it's anything other than sRGB, they'll look odd in most applications.

That's cracked it...didn't know what you meant at first, but i've just noticed the colour space dropdown box and set it from Adobe RGB to sRGB as you suggested!
Don't know what the difference is mind you, but it's done the job!

Thanks
