03 A4 lights

How the dickens do I get at the rear lights on an A4? One of the tail lights has stopped working but there's no obvious way to gain access.

Ah! Somewhat of a conundrum. Open the boot and look at either side of the opening, behind the rear lights. There are carpet "Bungs" on either side. Use a flathead screwdriver to prise them out. There is a phillips head inside- Unscrew this, being careful to take the screw out with you- Otherwise it'll fall down into car void hell!

The lights will then pull out with a degree of persuasion!

ETA- This also gives you a whole new obsessive cleaning target- Look at all the muck in the void!
