Left for work this morning and decided that as it's so quiet, I'd practice some wheelies.

You can probably guess where this is heading....

But, you'd be wrong.

On 2 occassions on the way in, I was doing 35 on the back wheel rather than 80 on both and because of this I was able to stop in time when a tractor pulled out in front of me. If I'd been doing my normal speeds, I would have struggled to avoid them.

So, my christmas message is: Do more wheelies! They are safest way to get to work smile

I'd love to be able to pull a wheelie, but I just know it's end in tears.

I'm not very good at them, but the bike helps a lot smile

Haven't got to the stage yet where I can change gear whilst wheelie-ing - but the bike has only just been run in and the slippery road means half the time the rear wheel spins instead of lifting the front when I try to clutch it up in 2nd.

Does anyone else lurch back as the power rolls out? That is how I get on the back wheel.

I'm too scared to drop the clutch, give it some beans and the open the clutch.

Hi Mate,

Not sure what you mean by the power rolling out? Do you mean at the end of the rev range?

Cheers.
