Purple Murci for hire, Rusholme (Manchester!)

I was coming out of curry-mile in Rusholme heading towards Fallowfield the other day and noticed a deep purple Murci sat on a dodgy looking garage forecourt with a banner saying 'Hire Me' across the windscreen (there were some other half decent looking cars next to it with the same banner)

I've never seen a Murci in this colour, it was a pre 05 MY looking at the wheels.

Does anyone know this car or the outfit supplying it?

Seemed a shame to see such a piece of exotica being pimped out from a low rent looking outfit in the middle of a less than desirable part of town

Lambo London (HR Owen) own the YEV1L plate dont they? .... I last saw that on a green (yes green!)...as in British Racing Green!...Gallardo, near Hyde Park in 2006.

I've been googling Manchester car hires sites for a listng on this purple Murci 6.2, but nothing found as yet.

I just searched on Lamborghini, Asian and Popadoms....and it came up straight away, sorted

YEV 1L has been one of HRO's plates since the launch of the 6.0 Diablo - it was originally on their yellow demo car and was sourced by Jason Barker - and has appeared on quite a few cars since!

Mosi - its been over 25 years since I was a not-infrequent visitor to some of the fine restaurant establishments in Rusholme. I used to play Rugby at the Heaton Moor and Burnage clubs in the late 70's and early 80's and developed a bit of a reputation for being able to play three matches (u-17, u-19, senior) in a weekend and consuming a few gallons of that beer stuff and at least one mighty great bucket of curry as well...

Did I just admit to underage drinking in the 1970's? What a scan-dahl-ous thing!!!

IIRC, there was an early '02 car, same colour, wearing the plate Y 1 !

Did not realise there was another Murcie in this colour.

I saw this one parked at Silverstone during the Ferrari Racing Days event earlier this year.

My Father looked at a Purple one at the Manchester showroom a while back, plate was LB52 XAC. Not sure I could live with the colour

Its for hire from a company called Zinc. One of the directors also owns the hand car wash business where the car is parked. They have a few other nice cars...Gay Ar Do (in yellow I think) and a Barabus S class.
