Fir-cone trouble!

In the last couple of trips out in my 56 plate VXR (black so it won't show the road salt!) I could hear what I thought sounded like brake pads out. Great I thought as this is Christmas Eve and I bet all the dealers of 'Red' pads are shut until the new year. Well you can guess my surprise when I found the problem to be a very tough Fir cone jammed down the back of the disc. It was so wedged in I had to extract it with pliers and brute force.

Happy now, now more fir-cone trouble!
