Remapping a BMW 545

Hi there

Would it make sense to remap a 545 petrol? If yes, does anybody has experience in remapping this engine by DMS?

remapping any engine makes sense, you will not get massive gains from a normally aspirated engine in the same way you do from a turbo charged one though. I have done my 3.0 Z4, it took it from 231bhp to 251bhp and torque was up by about 15lb ft. it has not made the car any 'Faster but the driveability is well worth spending the money, i imagine it would be a similar case for your 545, you will also notice an improvement in fuel consumption, However, i spoke to many people and many tunners prior to getting mine done and to be honest DMS are very expensive for what you can equally get elsewhere, They wanted £750 to do my car and i paid £250 by shopping around and the result is well worth it just do your homework and save yourself money..
