Fitted some H/D rubber spring bases today and one of the rear springs seems to have gone soft in the fact I ran out of adjustment and the car was still sitting to low when the other side is mid adjusted. It was so bad that the bump stop was almost touching and the spring was virtually coil bound. Anyone else ever had an issue with these springs? (always thought the car was lower on one side but this is the first opportunity to check it properly.

Is the spring soft, or actually broken ?

Not broken, just seems to have lost its resistance.

the spring must have been faulty at the first. It is very unlikely that a spring changes its resilience, you need to heat and cool it through a tempering process to do that.
