Half Life 2 gift

Just got the Orange Box for Christmas, and already owning Half Life 2 and Episode 1, I can now apparently gift them to someone. Don't know anyone who wants them, so I thought I'd throw the offer open to anyone on here, so if you are interested then reply on this thread and you can have them!

Adam - I'd certainly be interested now I've finally bought a mouse for my laptop. If a 2ghz Pentium M with 512MB and a Geforce graphics card can do them justice then yes please!!!!!

Just had a check of the specs and it sounds like you should be okay, you might have to turn the graphics down depending on what gfx card you have, but I have run it on a GeForce 4200ti before and it worked. I assume you have broadband, as you will have to download both the games from steam? If you send me an e-mail through my profile with your e-mail address them I'll sort it out for you.

If you have the disk, you should be able to install from that, you should only need to download the game if you have brought direct through Steam, or are giving as a gift via Steam. Saying that, you may find that after installation for the first time, it may take a while before you can play as it will update itself, but you can see if it is doing that when the Steam client is open with the list of your games.

Far as I can gather you must have a Steam account to play the game, even if you've got the disc. Free of charge though, just go to the Steam site and get started.

I just get a message saying something along the lines of "Unable to launch stream dll". I will have a proper look when I get home again
