GM ECU Callibration........

Hi, spent a little time today looking at mods on various websites and found one that reprograms ECU's (nothing strange) However as as part of the process it loads the latest GM Calibration for your VIN.

They provide a GM link on there web site for you to check your VIN's calibration so I tool a look and entered my vin number.

It also presented a couple of choices regarding variant.

High Performance or Standard. The results for my Vin number presented two available Calibrations.

VY2 Domestic Market - Manual Transmission Euro 2 service Software release - Field Fix - Poor Performance - PRTS VY0309

So my question is do the dealers have the ability to load this High Performance calibration into the ECU? Are the CV8 2004 models running the Standard Performance Euro 2 calibrations?

As this is a GM based site is this something (High Performance Calibration) that was offered to the GTO/Holden VY dealers?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree with this :-)

take it you have an LS1 with the 285kw option? Thats the HSV tune and has been on the EFIlive site for quite some time -> http://www.holdencrazy.com/
