Driving from Retford to Lincoln yesterday evening to pick up our new (98 R 4.0 Crimson Metallic) Chimaera the other half asked me "What is so good about the TVR over other convertibles", just after we passed an MX5 . I did not reply!

On the way home I drove the Chim while she followed behind in the Jag. So much fun. Kids fell off their bikes, old women crossed to the opposite side of the road, dogs barked, the blokes outside pubs nodded approval and rabbits ran for their lives as I burbled past.

At the house she said, "You should have seen the looks you were getting", (as if I did not know), "And I could see you through your rear view mirror grinning like a cat from Cheshire"

"That is what is so good about a TVR" was the reply!

I know what you mean.. I started mine up in the Tesco car park yesterday and it set 2 car alarms off behind me. Until you own one you don't realise stuff like that happens!

The case for the defence of TVR rests . . .

Just get those exhausts crackling and a poppin . .

Excellent post by hairy cornflake - I like that...
women just don't understand.....
oops, that's not very PC....

Most women don't understand...

I stopped at a junction beside some kids one day and the boys started shouting 'there's a TVR'.
They were only about 6 or 7 so how do they know..... must be instinct............

I've had the opposite a lot... people sticking their fingers up for no reason, getting boxed in at a petrol station for no reason... never happens in my van!

However, went into my local curry house, placed a take-away-order, said I'd wait outside, was parked a good few shops away - 10 minutes later the lady brings out my order! I said how did you know what car I was in and she said all the delivery boys were raving on about it in the restaurant! What service - my own Curry Drive Through!
