Hi all,

Mrs Don1 has a silver cloverleaf spider in her garage - 25 years old I believe. It's been SORN'd and off the road for about 4 years now, and currently a non-runner. It turns over but no more. She is thinking of getting rid of it - who would be good to talk to about this? Obviously it would be worth more as a runner, but she looks in excellent condition, and she'd prefer it to go to a enthusiast!

Other details - private plate transferred with it, red leather interior, alpine stereo, was in the Alfa Club GB? Can't remember the milage, or engine - will check later and update.

Cheers all!

If you want to get some more details I can put Something on the owners club forum for you.
I would suggest;
Exact build year, so we can identify the model, S1, S3, or S4.
Engine size.
Realistic condition, undersides mainly that's the bit you can't see easily.
Some photos would be good, poke a Digicam underneath around the sills and chassis rails.

Values of any classic, Spiders are no exception, depend virtually entirely on condition, literally anything between 1K and 10K. Only the best will fetch the top end, most will be between 4 and 6. But if it needs a lot of work, then the value reflects that. SORN'd for four years tends to suggest it's not going to be brilliant.

Nice, love the red seats.yes
You may want to check the mileage as it is probably in Kilometres not miles which will help with its price obviously. In good nick a low mileage S3 is probably £5k max, work down from there depending on how much needs doing to it.

Rich, don't tease me - shame it's not mine!I'm sure finding space in the watch case would be easier than having this cluttering the garage!

OK, will check on the odometer, and will go from there. Does anyone know someone who is looking for one, as a little project?

May I give the Black and White garage (Thatcham way), much kudos for getting this running again, and doing the MOT, for a very reasonable rate.

So, she's now running (and up for sale again - £3k sound reasonable?).

Can I also say the the B&W garage has some serious car porn in there - spotless 'sud, Intagrale, and a few others. Truly beautiful stuff.

£3k sounds reasonable. Not sure whether the market is great at the moment, I have seen some reasonably priced Spiders hanging around for a bit, probably a mix of the down season and the economy but its bound to pick up in the spring. Good luck
