Certificate of Conformity
Discussion
I thought I posted this yesterday, but can’t find it, so I think I posted it incorrectly, but if this is the second time excuse me.
I want to import a VN 750 from Malaysia to Norway, as I can do this duty free, and double the bike’s resale value. But I need a Certificate of Conformity, question is does anyone know where of to get one?
Thanks Kelvin

There's one in the owner's manual for my bike, suggest you try yours? Mind you, Malaysia: maybe those things aren't so important out there...I want to import a VN 750 from Malaysia to Norway, as I can do this duty free, and double the bike’s resale value. These things have a habit of tripping you up.
Took a 1995 Triumph Trophy to Czech republic last year for my bro-in-law for similar reasons (buttons here, thousands there) and he still hasn't been able to get it registered.
Triumph didn't do type approval on their bikes until 2000 so no way of getting certificate of conformity. Czech authorities aren't interested in the fact that it was already registered in UK or that all the components are e-numbered, they just will not move.
I would make sure you have all the papers in your hand before trying; once bitten etc...

Thanks for the comments, I know the problems, having lived overseas most of my life, I had a 7 series BMW bought in the UK and taken to Norway duty free, when I moved back, Also I have Sylva Phoenix here in Malaysiam, built in UK around a Lotus Sunbeam, the original Sunbeam had Belgium, Norwegian and British plates, as you may know these were mot overly reliable, and the engine did more miles on a rfreighter than I did on the road.
Bur this is the first time I've been asked for a COF
