My Fiesta 1.1 HCS is not starting, it turns over and I've checked the spark which seems fine. I can actually get the car to splutter into life by manually dribbling petrol into the carb/CFI unit. This leads me to think the injector has a problem, and when I got a multimeter on the injector plug, it registers about 5-6 volts when ignition is on and doesn't change when the engine is cranked. Seems like something is not telling the injector to inject.

If it's of any help, the car had just been jumpstarted and ran perfectly, then the jump leads were disconnected and the car just died. Now it won't start...Could something of shorted?

Is this an ECU problem or something more simple?

Ok don't worry, I disconnected the battery for several hours and it seemed to 'reset' the ecu (or something). Now works perfectly.
