Update on thread "Tuscan does not start after bumpy ride"

Due to some other projects and some december-stress we did not find time till today to investigate the problem with my not starting Tuscan after it fall "dead" after hitting a pretty serious bump may be a little bit too fast...

i will summarise what we did, but the first thread is here;

we are pretty sure that the problem is fuel based on the following facts;
-after i hit the bump i tried to restart and it runned for a few seconds (probably on what was left in the fuel system, which would probably not be possible if something with sparks and/or ECU went wrong)
-We unconnected the fuel hose on the injection rail and it did not spit any fuel (wehn trying to start)
-We don't hear the pump putting the system on pressure when switching the ignition on and turning off the immobilliser.

-We already checked all the fuses, they seem fine.
-We checked the inertia-switch it was still down. We tried to locate the fuse that is shown in the handbook below the inertia-switch, but it does not seem to be there, does anybody know where that might be fit?
-We checked the connector on the ECU, it seems to be in place normally.
-It could be that the pump broke down, when we switch on ignition you only hear a slight "tick" and we measure electricity which is shut down after 2 seconds, which could mean ;
a) The pump is broke?
b) The ECU switsches of electricity because of ???
c) There is still something wrong in the inertia-circuit??

Do you guys think i will blow up anything (ECU?) if we give the pump a direct plus to test whether this might solve it? (Allthough we than still have not located the cause....)

any help would be appreciated, we consider this one pretty complicated....thanx in advance.

Sorry Infinity, I offered my basic comments on your earlier thread but cant be more constructive.
Have you considered giving TVR Power a call or any of the other centers ?

Hi Tony, we have to admit that this is a pretty difficult one to ourselves as well, let's wait what comes on the thread and if it proves to be hard to solve i will get it to someone professional to look at it. (Which is not that very easy over here in Holland...)

It may be worth a telephone call to one of the UK centers like TVRPower. They may be able to offer you some free advise as you are "out of reach" in Holland.
I am driving back to Germany on the 6th Jan. If you need any repair materials dropping off, I am going back via Hook Van Holland across to north Germany.
