Repairing Laquer
Discussion
Hi All,
Popped into out local Polish car wash place on the way to a PH hoon this morning. I've been using them on both our cars for the last couple of months but unfortunatly this time they've managed to take a patch of laquer off one of the doors with the pressure washer.
Whats the best way of repairing this? It's on a white MX5. Rub down the area lightly, mask off then spray some fresh laquer onto it?
Thanks,
Phill

Hi mate,
it's probably caused due to poor previous prep work.
The way to sort it would be to sand the area that's flaked to feather the edge, prime the sanded area, wet flat the primer, base colour the primre area and clear coat the rest, Hey but trust me it's not as easy as I've made it out to be but I hope it's given you an idea. good luck
