Range Rover Sport recall anti roll bar
Discussion
Just a little enquiry regarding the anti roll bars on Range Rover Sports. We bought ours in Sept and after noticing a knocking from the front end after some 2k miles took it into Land Rover. After a so called 2 attempts to find the fault!!! we were told it needed a new anti roll bar but they were on back order and there were 4/5 cars in front of us awaiting the same item at the same dealer.
This smacks of a problem that Land Rover are not declaring and was wondering whether any one else had experienced this same problem.

it wont be the roll bar thats making the noise lads it will be the roll bar bushes, a common fault on the sports, easy job if its deiesel without ARC (anti roll contorl) but if its a supercharged or a lte diesel/tdv8 then they are an arse of a job (im a landrover technician by the way) wouldnt worry to much if its in warranty.
Got it back Friday, thanks for the feedback by the way, dealers says they have gone through the bulletin issued by Land rover regarding the fault!!! but have not had time to road test properly.Knocking still there so really they did bugger all. Will speak to them about anti roll bar bushes but sure they changed them the first time it when in,or so they said.Wife wants a new car now, thinks you take it back and they swap it for a new one or give you your money back.By the way any idea how to remove the lower tailgate trim that says land rover on it painted grey,as i have a colour coded one to put on but got stuck after undoing 2 screws by the inner handle. Will put out a post asking how to do it later. Thanks for help 120a anyhow.
no worries mate, if you have a knocking from the front its eaither ARB bushes/links or a worn bottom ball joint/ track rod end. all of which are fairly common on the rr sport/disco 3. if they finmd a ball joint worn then make sure they do a 4 wheel alignment on it after replacing it or you'll forver be wearing tyres on the outer/inner edge. as for the trim, never done one but i shud imagine its just clipped on somehow mate.
Mine had a suspension problem on thursday, driving along and get a SUSPENSION FAULT message, few minutes later SUSPENSION FAILURE. Basically the front suspension completely went so you got the thing higher from the back and lower from the front, limp mode.
Anyone else suffer this as its been in landrover since thursday and was told today there is a back log on suspension pipes or something. Very strange.
