PS Versions and RAW?

[Fetchez la vache]

Quick Q, hopefully.
At which version was PS able to use RAW file formats? Was it before CS2? I'm saving using Olympus ORF if it makes any difference..
Also am I right in thinking that the elements versions can not use RAW formats?

Need to get hold of Photoshop (new years resolution and all) and am looking at the alternatives due to the not inconsiderable outlay

cheers
