It puts it in perspective Henry when you look at the GT2 in the classifieds for £5k less...not a difficult decision methinks...Your comment "Guy's GT2 is fun to drive"......I would have at least expected " is 'kin amazing to drive".........it's only fun???

I just paid 79995 (6k above list) for mine a few days ago, and i thought that was a bit over the top. But if you want to jump the queue then you have no choice.

Scott

p.s. there are a few brand new one around for just over 80k in varoius colours and specs.

A very valid and true point.
I`m still stuck between a rock and a hard place,GT2 or GT3.

OR a 966TT........

I guess someone will pay £95k however for the GT3,but not me.

And if my mates keep letting me drive their GT`s I won`t have to buy one anyway!

Henry,I may be totally wrong but I really thought that a 996TT would be a perfectly tuneable base for you after your Skyline experiences.

Certainly not for me possibly the best yet most soulless 911 experience I have ever had!
(sorry Daz,what do I know,,,Nuffin')

"deceptive ruthlessly efficient" is the probably the term you're looking for Paul.

I`ve sold the drag Skyline, too much hard work, but my offer to Daz still stands for a 200mph trip down the runway at Bruntingthorpe as I still have my R33 GTR now pumping out some 650bhp at the rear hubs.

Henry.
ps.I still have AA Recovery

Thanks Henry. I think!!

Can you add a few of the usual suspects to the passenger ride list? I'd be fascinated to see how Boltonboy describes doing 200mph+ through Englands green and pleasant land.

Craigw mentioned on another thread a few days ago, he's still waiting for details of a suitable date, and for those interested to email him. Can yourself and Guy do the honours, so Craig can put you down as two possible attendees, dependent on date?

regards

Hi Daz,
I`ve sent an email to Craig for a possible 5 places dependant on date of course.

When I was at the Porsche factory last month I saw quite a few X50-GT2 engines lined up outside the dyno rooms with USA stickers on them, the tour guide said the Yanks often ordered the upgrade on their TT`s.

Apart from you,has anyone else in the UK got the X50 package? Bramley Cars had one for sale a while back but I`ve seen no more......

Is there a 996TT Club Sport?(if not, why not)

Getting back to GT3`s,it seems some folks are selling their new cars for a small profit, which is fine by me,but I am going to sit on the fence for a while and watch how the market place goes.

Henry.

I met a guy at my first Bruntingthorpe meet who has a silver X50 with aerokit. I know Buster is due to collect a very low mileage used one this weekend. GetCarter is ordering his new car with it as well.

From conversations at my OPC, it's a rarely specified option. Although I can't help think all the good press reports it has received must encourage owners. Having said that I've met a number of owners who believe the 420bhp version is fast enough.

The Sunday times today had a used black X50 with aero kit for sell from Top555 I think. Think it was up for about £88k. Not sure if it is a UK car though, it also doesn't appear on their website. (www.top555.co.uk)

I purchased the X50 car from Bramley! Collect it Saturday!

CANNOT wait! Awesome drive - much more involving/fun/entertaining (IMO) that the "normal" 996 TT.
