Fuel Pump & Tank sender connectors

On mine these are the nasty flat push on variety, which I guess is the same as anyone elses.
Actually they aren't in bad nick, the fuel pump ones look a bit tired but for 15 years pumping fuel into a V8 not too bad.
I was planning to cut them off & replace them, is there a magical connector out there that cures all this, or shall I just do the same again and put some silicon grease or vaseline or something in them to keep the water out?

What I did was to remove the connectors, give them a good clean then reattached the wiring by soldering the connector to the wire. Before I fit the connector i slide over some heat shrink sleeving which was shrunk down over the connector once fitted to the pump. I then covered the connectors with silicone grease.

Mine were pretty corroded too, I just did the obvious: Sanded down the blade connectors on the pump, replaced the connectors on the wires and put a big blob of grease around to protect.

I would also reccommend installing a protection plate. It seems to be in the worst place to collect all that crud and spray. In my case it was made from a piece of plasic wall cladding that I bent round to fit and secured, but it was nearly a old ice cream tub!!

If you dont drive in the rain I wouldn't bother though
