Bleu Nord or Beausejour?

Hey guys it appears our tickets for Maison Blanche have fallen through and i'm being offered bleu nord or beausejour instead, any ideas which is better? facilities etc.?

Personally I'd go Bleu Nord, it's closer to the main part of the circuit and a smaller site than BSJ.

Look at lemans.org, go to the booking page and download the pdf with maps on it and you'll see what I mean. If you wanted MB then Bleu is the nearest alternative.

TBH the facilities are pretty limited on most sites so I woouldn't make a decision on that basis.
Bleu was "zoned" last year so make sure you buy enough space now a you may mot manage to get the same zone separately. Bleu tickets will be saleable nearer the time if you get spares.

Personally, I'd pick BSJ. Yes Bleu Nord is closer to the circuit entrance but it's on a hill so pretty exposed to the wind and there is no shelter at all. BSJ is surrounded by trees and so there's more shade should it be hot as hades this year

Based on last year I'd say Bleu Nord - but that's because the ACO seemed to route all traffic in France past the entrance gate to Beausejour in the most inept way imaginable!

• and the Frenchy managing to get his JCB-thing stuck in the ditch didn't help (though WAS amusing).

Is it?? AFAIK it's absolutely flat? It's tge area adjacent (ish) to the airfield.

Well a hill is probably too optimistic a term for it really but it is certainly raised from the road that runs up alongside it.

We have the same problem this year,

Normally in maison blanche (last 12 years) but due to size of group ( 15 of us this year) we have been "bumped".

Looks like we will be in Bleu Nord this year which will be ok but you can't wander as easily trackside at 3 am and I bet the guys on the maison blance/main entrance gate won't let gopeds in

I really like BSJ. The field was in a great condition last year. The traffic was annoying but at least we had radio Le Mans to listen to, and had we just shot straight out that wouldn't of happened. There is a bit of a walk but thats good exercise to work off the burgers/hotdogs!

I think BSJ is a better site. Decent grassy pitches and room to breath.
Get there early tho and pitch as close to the entrance as pos.
Loos and showers are as good as anywhere and there is a bar at the entrance. At least there was when I was in there.
If you are after tickets, give TL a buzz.

I've never been on the Annexe but it's a very popular site. Look at the maps to check you're happy with the location and then I'd probably take the tickets. This is very likely to be the the last year of HA so this is your chance to experience a bit of histoy in the making!
