I suppose it stands to reason that EVERY time a PHer's cerb goes wrong, they post it on pistonhead (a burden shared is a burden halved), or perhaps just for advice. So dont be put off.
I hope you get your dream Cerb in 2008.
There arent many around now, so your dream of owning a cerb becomes less and less of a reality each year, and more get written off.I hope you get your dream Cerb in 2008.
Good luck finding a good one, make sure that mechanically its a sound one, you can always clean the inside's, get the stone chips respay'd it you want your car to look mint for not a lot of change.
Get an engine that is fooked, kiss goodbye to £5-8k.
Happy 2008

do you have one of those insane and brilliant modified ECOTEC minis?
i have had/ built quite a few yes ( i run/own www.16vminishop.co.uk ) spent the last year doing conversions for other people , but not making any money at it , so i am back at a desk earning real moneyMatt
Been lurking for a while keep looking in the classifieds and dreaming, even started renting a garage for when the time comes but to be honest the huge repair bills have scared me a bit, having a £4-£5000 bill two weeks in to ownership would be hard to swallow but i still ache for a cerbera and will until i get one i suppose.

I've been lurking for a year
It's wise to stay informed, although as most people have already stated it's often from a negative perspective. The good thing is that we learn from when things go wrong and that is most certainly one of the positive aspects of the Cerb forum.
Jules.
yeap

i agreei've been lurking for ages too and i, much like some of the others here, truly love and aspire to own a Cerb myself one day and i think its wise to keep my finger on the pulse and see/read what is going on
As a committed lurker, I can safely say that if it wasn't for all the shared experiences, solutions and genuine support and respect for the marque by so many affectianado's, I would not be the proud owner as of TODAY of a fantastic 2003 4.2 Cerbera purchased from a fellow Pistonheader!
