Which 1 Series for 19K?

OK. Got 19K for a 1 series and wanting to know what would be recommended. Looking for reasonably new probably an 07 with maybe around 10 - 15K on the clock.
Somehow I dont think this would quite stretch to a 130i but what would be the best alternatve 120d M?
I am going out this weekend to test drive a few but any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Last year I bought a 9 month old 120d SE with comfort pack, 7K miles for less than £16K from a main dealer. It was only £450 above Glasses so there are good deals to be had if you keep looking around.

Go for the 130i M-Sport if you can. Best car I've ever owned - a true pleasure to run.

BUT, why spend £19K on a 1 Series when that would get you a stunning E46 M3 or E39 M5 (or a 964, or two E30 M3s, or two E34 M5s etc., etc)
Sorry, I just don't get it, they look like hideous, nasty looking things to me.

Let me see if I can help. When I was looking for a new motor I needed a 5 door hatch (wife + sprog) had £20k to spend, wanted something new or nearly new (ie with warranty/reliability), with the maximum possible power/performance.

Answer = 130 !! Cheap as chips to run, loads of bang per buck, totally reliable. Find a flaw ?! (ok it's a minger but other that, not such a bad idea....)

Appreciate the comments guys thanks. Finally settled on a 57 plate facelifted 120d m sport with 3K miles, 18" alloys, leather interior etc etc so good spec car all for the bargain price of £19,250 which seemed like a good deal to me.
Checked out the 130i but this seemed like the more sensible option considering the budget etc.
Pick it up on Sat so looking forward to it now.
