Need a pair of window lift mechanisms for an 81 (x) tasmin dhc. have heard they may be from Rover SDI Vitesse rear windows. Any info appreciated.

The ones in my old '83 FHC and my current '85 350 are not from the Rover.

What's wrong with yours, they may be fixable?

drivers side motor is completely corroded and the passenger side is jammed,probably seized. Will just have to keep searching. Thanks anyway and maybe someone will have a pair

Try some of the Tasmin racers, they should have some

When you says the motor is completely corroded, do you mean the arms and quadrant. If so I have a spare (motor has stripped gear).

I would try removing the motor from the seized one, just drill out the 3 rivets - you will probably find it will then free up and you can remount the motor with nuts and bolts (you may need to grind one of the heads to clear the mechanism).

Agree with Danny's comment above, both of mine on the 2+2 were seized and Rimmers wanted a small fortune for 2/H SDI ones. Drilled out the rivets, cleaned them up and they're fine. Interesting the comment above that they're not SDI - I'm sure all of mine are (82 conv, 83 2+2 & 2 sets of spares & sorry the spares are not for sale!)
