V8S Engine Removal

Simple question - will the V8S engine some out with the exhaust manifolds on?
I have been told the body won't come off the V8 with the exhaust manifolds on - and as the engine is coming out anyway I may aswell just do that first rather than suffer the pain of getting the manifolds off with the engine in the car.
I also think the manifolds will be pretty handy for attaching the hoist to anyway.
I assume that I unbolt the cross member across the front of the engine to allow it to slide forward once clear of the engine mounts.
All tips appreciated.

Yes the engine does come out with manifolds attached, but from memory you will need to remove or at least loosen the anti-roll bar as it catches on the sump as the engine is lifted.
