this isn't going to be a terribly helpful post redface but I'll stick my oar in anyway biggrin

I'm assuming you have one? I got one about 6 months ago now. 2003 revised model. I can't honestly say I feel the shake is that bad. I've driven a lot of topless cars over the years and owned a number and I still get a huge kick out of the Spyder and can forgive any of its foibles every time I start up the V8 and listen to the engine through the Quicksilver exhaust...

I've just had the most wonderful hour driving over the Forth Road bridge around to the Kincardine bridge and back..blue skies, roof down, no music other than the exhaust. Perfect. Offer me a hard top to smooth out the odd rough edges?? No thanks. What would it do? Add weight and remove the carefree, sun is out, roof down experience I've just had this morning.

That all said, to answer your question, I'm not sure there is a hard top!

thanks for the reply:-) ive been contemplating maserati ownership for months. Keep talking myself into it....after talking myself out of it:-( considered a porsche 911 (996) but da wife hates the interior. I live up in aberdeen...so servicing could be a problem. On the other hand will have to ther cars so would be a third car...arghhh this is so hard. your post made it more difficult lol

was in a similar situation. the Spyder is my occasional, fair weather car. I'm based Edinburgh. If you happen to be down and want a look/chat pm me through the forum. Happy to share my experiences to date.....best thing so far by a country mile was putting a Quicksilver exhaust on it.

Have had one for 2 and a bit years now second maser (after the 3200) shake really isn't that bad , tubi exhaust + roof down = cloud9

Don't worry about the alleged shake - just drive it smile
