E46 Auto Gearbox Reset

Anyone know how to reset the gearbox to factory settings?

on an e39 its some combination of flooring the throttle 10 times with the ignition at the first setting (eng off)

Its done on GT1 dealer or some of the after market diagnostic tools.Clear the adaptions and then a specific gearbox adaptive drive cycle is carried out to re learn the gears,converter and clutch pack settings.

I tried it and didn't notice any difference.

the trick is to google "transmission" as yanks dont call them autoboxes or gearboxes.
