Or not!

My sodding mountain bike seems to be a magnet for every sharp object on the road/track and I'm getting through inner tubes like sweeties.

But because I'm a person of 'deep pockets and short arms' it grieves me to just chuck them in the bin or on the bonfire.

Has anyone found a good car use for old bike inner tubes?

If you tie a knot in one end they make great condoms for us well-endowed males - you should be able to get a year's supply out of one tube.

I use an anti puncture tape on my road bike which does work to some degree. Maybe you can get something similar for mountain bikes? Might be worth asking.

Buy a puncture repair outfit and patch them. Youll bb doing your bit to help the environment by recycling them.

Ah, now Ray Mears (jungle survival guide) says inner tubes make great fire starters. Just cut a small strip off and light with cigarette lighter. Great way to get the kindling going!!

Sounds like they'd be good for covering jacks and axle stands. Also glued to the wall for door protection.

Cut into rings, battered and deep fried they could make a passable substitute for calamari.
