Car doesnt look too bad and a reasonable price too! Dont know anything about this car, but with a rebuild, new shocks and recent service its well worth a look. Wonder if clutch was done at the rebuild time??
Is it the first one you will have looked at? Might be a good idea to see if you can get a comparison by looking at a couple others on your way to and from Scotland...bound to be a few in between...also budget for keeping the car on the road...

Hi Allan,

I'm based in Forres, so a bit of a trek from Forfar. I'm sure they'll be some other cerbera owners in your area that could show you around one. View as many as possible and pick carefully. I went to view the purple Dicksons of Dunblane cerbera a while back when it was at Dreadnoughts. They gave me loads of pointer and tips in finding a good sorted one.

Craig.

Hi Allan,
Glad to hear your thinking of taking the plunge! You wont regret it,even if it breaks.
I've had mine 8 weeks now, done a lot more miles than i ever thought i would[might need to phone ins co come summer and up my annual mileage , or disconnect speedo. Only kidding!!!!!!!!
I'm in Glasgow, dont know if thats close enough to come for a gander, would try to give you a few pointers i was given. Go see a few, thats good advice. I know what its like to travel. We flew down to north devon to look at one, money burning a hole in my pocket, but fortunately it was better than quite a few i had seen before with less miles and dearer.
Ps she's a 1998, metallic paris blue,portland grey/blue interior and 18 inch spiders.
Happy hunting.
Del

Absolutely 100% take up any offers for a trip in a Cerb before buying. Compared to GTV it is chalk and cheese, really can't compare.

Having said that, first trip in a cerb and you'll be hooked, but they need respect.

Happy hunting and good luck

Not on performance, obviously, but niggles and "reliability" and the potential to generate large bills,...possibly.

I went from an Alfa 147GTA to the Cerb.. despite it having been in the garage for two of the 8 months I've owned it so far, I've never looked back.

The GTA was a quick little car, but the Cerb is insane - took some getting used to.
