Diablo SE30 abandoned in car park
Discussion
I wonder if anyone can help me here.
Over Xmas, I was talking to a good mate about Lamborghini Diablos.
I said to him that someone had posted on Pistonheads, a picture of a viola coloured SE30 which appeared to have been carelessly parked and abandoned up against a concrete pillar in an underground car park somewhere in London.
I'm beginning to think that I dreamed it.
Can anyone enlighten me or better still, post the picture and story.
Thanks.

Ah, just as I thought. It wasn't a SE30, but is in fact my friend Peter Robinson's newly acquired Diablo VT Roadster.
I can now wind him up over the clumsy parking by it's previous owner.
Here is a picture of the car as it is today.

Old guy in W1 used to own it if its the one Im thinking of.I can now wind him up over the clumsy parking by it's previous owner.

Hi, I can tell you that she's much loved. She's mine. Just not had her many months. Been with Mike Pullen a while making sure she's mechanically A1 and fully serviced. She's booked into have the bodywork marks sorted and wheels refurbished on monday in London so hope she should be perfect in a month. Oh, she's real by the way.
Hi Pete.
Glad that you finally joined up, but make sure you wear your flameproof aspestos suit when posting. They can be a bitchy lot on here.
Post some more pictures. This lot love pretty pictures.
Don't forget to pop round to my place when the car is back from the paintshop.
For those of you on here who don't know Pete, he used to have a red Lamborghini Countach Anniversary prior to the Diablo, so he has a great taste in cars.

Sorry for the slight hijack, Peter, but could you comment on this thread, please.

Hi Guys, hello everyone thanks for the welcome Pete!!
Thanks driverrob for posting the pic and also thought your GTO was lovely as Hartney Witney simplesimon.
Well, I've had the car about 4 months. Always loved the few 30purple SE30s and thought the colour was amazing. As you know there's only a couple of right handers left on the road this colour now, so I may have had to wait a while. Amazingly this car came up for sale and I had to have it.
It's the only Right hand roadster ever made in 30 purple and was a special order as essentially the car wasn't available in this colour.
It's has matching alacantara interior and I put the plate on it. It's a 1998 car and was on an R plate (see pics above).
So I'm well chuffed as without the roof it just feels a different car, the engine is louder and feels less crampt. So on balance I have my perfect car and vow never to sell.
I understand the first owner went to Italy personally to seal this situation. It's done 13,000 miles from new
It came up for sale through Amari although it essentially only passed though his hands for a couple of days coming from the previous owner Chris Upton in London owner of www.fagmatic.com (see his site for more history). I'm the 3rd owner.
I'll be round soon as i can pete and we'll go annoy the residents of titchfield.
does that cover things? just ask if you're interested.
