Comments on this please?

Does it not really cover Gatso cameras very well as
people seem to have this and another device?

I've got an 815iS Signature (dunno the diff. between this and a 715) and it's pretty good, but I'm on my second one. The first one was useless in comparison. On average I reckon I get 30yds warning or a GATSO which is good enough unless you're tanking it. If you are tanking it and don't get enough time, then it serves you right for going so blinkin' fast...!

Ive got one of the 715's and its pretty good if a little noisy, it gets set off by every garage door you pass! There's a test on www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk and I belive it did well especially considering the cost. If you really want a bargain try looking on ebay, the 715's are going for under £100 !

Edited cos i just found one for £80 !!

Thanks folks

I think for a budget device it seems to do what is
required, so I will list it at the entry level.

Thanks again.

Go create some weather...

Just in case anyone wanted an update / future reference,
I have just tested this device on four fixed Gatso's.

The first three failed to produce any sound, started to wonder
about accuracy etc, but the fourth came in loud and clear.
( So I now assume the first three were not in current operation? )

On facing the camera it gave about 75 metres notice
and approaching from behind, about 50 metres.

Hope that helps someone.

Be aware that some gatso's use a pickup loop in the road.
The radar ones will usually have a silver-like flash in the lower aperture of the box, and the detector should go off if its active.
All the same, be careful.
