Hi all,

Just bought a new bike so i can start my biking life biggrin I'm coming up 16 in a few weeks and will be able to ride a moped. I previously had an Rs50 which i was intending to use once i had passed my CBT, but i then found a Motorhispania Rx50 which has become my new bike! It's not in the best condition because the previous owner didn't care for it and wasn't too clued up about bikes, but this was good because i mangaed to lower the price wink Been cleaning it for the last few days and have attempted removing some of the minor scratches. However, in the near future i'll respray the whole thing anyway because i don't like the look of the red fairings.

So yeah my new bike is a Motorhispania Rx50, what do you think? Also can i just ask what cleaning products you use for the various different parts of your bike?

Thanks

Don't think you are allowed race numbers on the road. Might be worth removing them to avoid getting pulled by the BiB.

As for cleaning products - Muck Off is pretty good.

Its more than just a number though.... wink

Nice bike to start with (not sure about the red/lime colourscheme though?) but way better than a scooter or step-thru twist n' go.

Is that actually true?

Haha okay yeah it is!

Yeah i hate the colur sceme hoping to spray it all the lime/yellow colour and then have matt black somewhere.

Like this http://www.trippelmotor.no/UserFiles/Image/mopeder... but where it's blue mine would be yellow.

I don't think the race number bit is true but Muck-off is good. I just use water and whatever car shampoo/stuff I've got lying around the garage.

Race numbers need to be crossed if the vehicle is on the road, apparently.

With reference to the numbers on your bike. I'm not sure what the law actuallt states, but we used to drive our race car to the track, we used to put black tape throught the numbers so you couldn't really read them. We arrived at a track and were photographed by a man from the RAC MSA, he told us it was against the law, and gave the RAC MSA a bad name. Now I know none of this probably interests you, but I am sure it will attract unnecessary ttention for the police, and lord knows they are so busy catching real crims, they dont want to be wasting time stopping you. The other more important fact, I would imagine, that, heaven forbid, you are involved in an accident, and pictures are taken, the friendly people at your insurance company will try to wriggle their way out of paying by saying you were racing on the road or something stupid. Doesn't seem worth it. If you want your bike to stand out, put some nice stickers on it or something.

Don't do that, get a TVR sticker for the bike. you'll get loads of PH'ers loving you bike more but it may brake down a bit more. and fall apart

I swapped it for the RS becuase it was the older type rs50 2000-2006 i think and i don't really like the look of them. The motorhispania i think is better looking, is faster, rarer (every 16 year old seems to have the Rs50) and more reliable. Unless you cover it in TVR stickers laugh

I do like the Derbi Senda though definately the best crosser style 50.

Nice one thumbup

You realy will love it, I turned 16 in April so have been riding since then and I love it. Just keep in mind the CBT can only teach you so much, its you who has to go out and experience for yourself on those nasty car dominated roads. On a final note have you de-restricted it?

Heres a piccy of My Rs50
