Charging battery E46 tourer

I tried starting my 330 auto this morning and the battery did not have enough power to quite start the engine, as the car had not been used for quite a few days. Before I take the batery off and charge it I was wondering what effects removing the battery would have on various things (service interval display, radio key fob etc)?

You may need to re-enter the radio code but should otherwise be OK. You can always charge via the jump leads points under the bonnet.
