Finally people are waking up. It's that cvnt Livingstone. 200 quid a day to drive a large vehicle inside the M25.

Wank3rs.

From TFL website.

You will need to pay the daily charge if you drive in the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in a vehicle that does not meet the scheme emission standards and is not exempt from the scheme or entitled to a 100 per cent discount.

Daily charges
£200 for lorries, buses, and coaches and vehicles over 3.5 tonnes. This charge will apply from 4 February 2008

£100 for minibuses below 5 tonnes and large vans, motor caravans, ambulances and similar vehicles below 3.5 tonnes. This charge will apply from October 2010

Penalty charge is £1000 per day. Yes a GRAND.

I spotted that. What are they thinking by applying it to ambulances though? Has anyone noticed the clouds of smoke and fumes that emerge from the back of most of RedKens' Red Buses, or how much time we waste sitting with the engine on caused by a bendy-bus blocking a junction.......?

I didn't vote for RedKen.

Does the charge apply at weekends and evenings like the C charge?

Yes, Londoners. It even made it into an official report that the odious little cvnt tried to bury. Time will tell whether enough people have their eyes open to vote the little shit out.

I heard about this from someone who is a self employed road painter. His truck is 7 years old and doesn't meet the stringent checks so for him to continue to work in London. It will cost him either £200 a day extra or 45K on a new truck.

Any ideas as to how it affects 'normal' cars? i.e. are we going to get shafted for having big engined sports cars??

Ok,

SO how do UK based road haulage businesses carryign stuff from the far side of london access high speed channel crossings. Well done Ken you've just shafted the whole UK haulage business. Someone better upgrade the A34 to Motorway status - J9 on the M40 is going to get VERY busy, as for Portsmouth...

Of course I lay odds that jonny foreigner won't be affected as they won't be able to make him pay with his nice foreign numberplate..

Of course it will eventaully hit cars - he'll just extend the congestion charge zone out to the M25 as he wanted to, and save money by rolling them into one...

Lets hope his political career ends before he bankrupts the entire country..

SImes.

Here's the news.

HE DOESN'T CARE.

HE HATES THE PRIVATE VEHICLE. HE HATES SUCCESS. HE HATES PERSONAL FREEDOM.

HE'S A COMMUNIST.
