After having a wedge and an S2 I've finally picked up what I've always wanted......

It's an early 93 Chimaera in Cooper Green, looks lovely with a TVR private plate and Estorils! (I'll put up some pics at the weekend)

Issues so far? Well the battery seems to like to drain a bit when left (don't they all). The only other thing I've noticed is it seems to run hot. The temperature on the gauge seems to run at about 100, fans kick in and out and it doesn't get any hotter. I've ordered the Leven replacement thermostat and otter switch and also an infrared temperature gun to check the 'real' under bonnet temperature - I reckon the gauge is over reading.

Gauge accuracy is pants. The temp gauge has a separate sender. Try reading the resistance of the ecu temp sender and finding out what the true temperature is.

+80 deg C should be 330 ohm.

I've just checked that in the bible and it certainly sounds like a good thing to look at. Also, they mention a faulty sender that indicated an operating temperature of 100 degrees....sounds familiar...
