Just got myself a new bike - GSXR-750M last of the oil cooleds (in winter too, what am I doing?) - and it's got the interesting combination of a Michelin Hi-sport on the front and a Dunlop (something) on the back.
Any recommendations on decent tyres for this. I'm not an ultimate grip/knee down type of chap, I had Continental Road Attacks on my last bike (ZZR600) and quite liked them. Would they be suitable for the Suzuki?
Thanks

Get yourself some Michelin Road Pilot 2's if they come in the sizes required for your bike......they are a fantastic tyre especially for this time of year. I used to use Michelin PIolt Power 2CT's which are an awesome tyre, but I was going through them too quickly, I do 1,500 miles a month so needed something with a bit more longevity to them so I chose the Michelin Road Pilot 2's and have no regrets whatsoever.Any recommendations on decent tyres for this. What kind of mileage are you getting out the Road 2's?Edited by Andy OH on Monday 7th January 15:45
They seem a very good tyre, will probably get them for the 10 next. Will have to swap to a 50 profile from the 55.

Yes you're both correct, £5 each, it is an 'L'.
Took me about 6 months to find in this condition. All I needed to do was re-paint the metal battery tray which had become a little rusty. The rest was as new.
Funny thing is, I disagree about the build quality. It was way better than modern stuff. Everything was over engineered, (which made it heavy I agree). Modern stuff is very bad with regard to clips, bodywork, fittings etc. For example, the front mudguard was screwed to a metal frame underneath which in turn bolted to the fork legs. Solid! Proper metal battery tray, not sitting in a plastic moulding. Decent fairing subframes which don't bend easily.
Anyway it's gone now so I must stop reminiscing!
ETA: Still got this though

Just sold this *sob* due to having to raise cash. I would defy anyone to say it wasn't new! Unbeleivable condition for an 18 year old. Miss it lots. Worse still the guy who bought it lives in a flat and intends to keep it outside

ooooh my poor undies. they've taken a bit of a dirtying recently, and thats really messed them up.

Hee hee, fooled you. It's not an SP. It started life as a Strada. I managed to source SP4 Ohlins forks and yokes with the badge, and added lots of other goodies. And painted it black...

No doubt they built them well Ray, which is why they bloated up to nigh on 215kilios for a 750 M …but I was referring to the actual finish of the components. you know, the fork legs turning to powder, the disc carrier bolts turned brown over night and the first time you un did the fairing screws paint cracked off from underneath them..looks like yours had a sheltered life with a sympathetic owner
