i'm working away till Thursday, so left the wife to get some tyres for the rear of the SEAC.
she can get the so3 for £135 each or Yokohama for £213 each.
any thoughts
tyres are 245.45.16

Fine and dandy on a V8S, if that helps? Completely different suspension of course.

Stainless - I've got S03's on my SEAC and here are
my main comments :
Grip dry - very good, I dont get wheel spin on pure
acceleration on good surfaces.
Grip wet - OK (I don't push too hard...but they few
good)
Cornering - yep, very good lateral grip
Wear - looks to be very good, I've done about 2.5K
and no noticable wear and it's even across the tread.
Down side's - not the best looking tyre (tread!) - if
you care about that kinda thing and tracking on bad road surfaces is not so good !!
Hope it helps.

I'm also running the Uniroyal 540 tyre and much improved wet weather grip and slightly better dry grip compared to the RE71's I was running wear too early to say but the index number is double that of the bridgestone. The only thing I would say is they are a much softer sidewall contruction so they needed a few extra psi to recover the steering feel.
But they were only 72 quid each fitted

what pressure do you put in the 245.45.16 front and rearSteve
Very good question and one I can't answer at the moment 'cos I can't remember. I haven't had the car for ages because of the new engine going in so have forgotten what I was running them at. I hadn't had them on the car that long before the engine went bang!
I'll check through my records and let you know asap - that is if SteveH doesn't answer you first (he also has exTuscan wheels on the 520).
The answer is sufficient. The 520 runs on about 22 ish but I would even but a couple of pounds less in the S03 but that is on a Tuscan wheel which is 9J and effectively braces the sidewall to stop tyre movement without higher pressures. Try 22ish and experiment. There is no magical perfect answer.
Thanks alot you guys, can't wait till the weekend been working too hard.Wife's had an accident at work and has concussion. So had to get a friend to take the wheels off the car to get some tyres.
I need to give the car agood thrashing and drink lots of
to chill out.
try running the tyres at 22 psi
