Being my first trip, I'm keen to get into the spirit of things.

I know everyone stickers up etc, but do many people dress up etc?

I ask this, because me and my mate are contemplating buying a vehicle specifically for Le Mans. We mentioned getting a Smokey and The Bandit Trans Am and said we should dress in Burt Reynolds style attire for a laugh.

Anyone doing anything different, or is it just a case of stickering up and filling up with beer?

edited 'coz i got wrong car doh!

Ive seen lots of different things before, there was a stag party last year where some of the chaps were taking it far to seriously ! such as holding bags over their wigs to stop them going frizzy. But knock yourself out everyone loves. a bit of comedy.

Being original is going to be the hard part. Last year was the year of the Lemanbulance, an epic story which will be continued this year. Before that was the AC Cobra fellas in Police outfits, the Racing Allegro, the pirate ship, the list goes on.

I'd suggest having a look through some of the previous threads from the past years and see what other folk have done. If you go as Smokey & the Bandit - who gets the wedding dress?

Youtube Le Mans vids Clint and you'll see loads of novelty vehicles. A trans-am would be awesome. I've been looking at silly things as well.

I've been scouring the classifieds on PH and elsewhere, a few things look interesting, namely:-

New York Chequer Cab
Smokey Trans Am
Knight Rider Trans Am (Don't tell Streekhawk!)
There's a bitch mobile on ebay, complete with pole...now if I could get some ladies to fil it? scratchchinhehe

I've also seen some interesting military vehicles, pehaps a 20 tonne tank at the camp? - only joking.

Delorean
Various other novelties, police, fire, ice cream.

Im sure I saw a car/flatbed van with a proper porcelian toilet on the back last year.
But I didn't get too close for reasons that seemed sensible at the time.
