Just after some advice guys ive got an exige s with sports packs so has a bare plastic centre tunnel.

Ive been thinking of getting it re - done in leather. Im sure I can remember someone saying you can send it off to lotus and they will do it.

Cant find any threads on it?

Does anyone have an idea of costs and who to contact or is it something I would go through my dealer to get done?

Cheers

I seem to remember the dealer can have it done. You just pick which leather combo of colours you want & off you go.

Try Paul Parkinson at Lipscomb Lotus on 0845 3389 909

Do a search for Lipscomb Lotus on Google & then search the aftersales link within their website.

Speak to Mel Broome (MBroome@lotuscars.co.uk) at lotus, he runs the trim shop. Should be able to give you all the options you need.

Once decided what you want, take the part you want trimmed to the dealer, ask them to send it off. Then in 3-6 weeks you have it back. Costs about £140 for the tunnel I think, another £50 if you don't want to take your existing part off and drive round without it

I was in Lipscombs only this lunchtime biggrin

It's £199.99 for the centre tunnel. It does look very good, as I had it done on my Elise, but by crikey it ain't cheap. Mind you, I was in there spending £100 on some cling film, that ain't cheap either. hehe

Was the 199 just for re-trim to your own tunnel or supply of a new one aswell?

Not sure how it would work going through Lipscombs, im in Newcastle and their in Kent?

I'm afraid it's just the Re - trim, your local dealer should be able to help and provide the same service thou

Oh sorry for some reason I assumed you were in Kent. Doh!!

The 199.99 is basically give them your car, pick it up complete - so it's fully fitted etc over and above your old one.

You could do it at your local dealer too I'm sure, or indeed do it manually yourself in conjunction with Mel (who is at the factory).

Cheers for advice, Just had a reply off Mel, £104.13 inc vat.

Im thinking about getting black leather to match the sides of the seats and orange stitching to match body colour. Not sure though, what do people think?

That will look PERFECT. yes

At £104, I'm tempted....what happens, do you send your centre console to him and he posts it back?

I have also booked with Paul for March 22nd. When you say the 'advanced' do you mean the 2 to one ratio? I may give that a go next year after I have put in to practice throughout the year what I learn with Paul.

Like you I am very much looing forward to it.

Phil :-)

Hi Phil,

You'll have a great time, I didn't take part but watched when Boggy was having tuition. They certainly take there time and build confidence once you take to the track in the afternoon session, I believe your taking part in the driver training (4 people per instructor) That's what boggy did last year, this time he's doing the 2 Pearson's day which I believe is the one your referring to

Tony

That price of £199.99 is for a new tunnel as well, just a retrim is slightly cheaper smile
