Food that tases 'ok' microwaved?
Discussion
The situation:
My workplace has a kitchen of sorts with a microwave and fridge.
Most mircowaveable stuff tastes gash though - anyone recommend any products that come out tasting fairly good? Would be nice to have some hot food at lunch.
Sadly we dont have an oven, otherwise I could have done myself a nice jacket potato
(won't do them on microwave though as they dont come out very nice).

I don't know where you are in the UK but these Jamaican patties available from most Asda supermarkets in London ...

And come in beef, lamb, chicken, salt fish and vegetable flavours
They're about 50p each and definitely did the job for me when I was at work.

There are a number of decent mico meals which i lived on until i met the current g/f but they aren't exactly Gordon Blue.
eggs cook well, bacon to unless you like it ruined (sorry cripsy).
Best bet is to take a home cooked meal to work and heat it up in there. (as said above and beaten to it whilst typing)

Tesco & Sainsbury's both do a healthy option balanced microwave meal.
They are fantastic!

Jacket pots (try mostly cooking it in the oven the night before then heating it up in the microwave - might deal with the skin - I just accept it's not crispy.
Porridge (my breakfast right now!), Soup - New Covent Garden is often on special in Sainsbury etc., smoked mackeral is nice slightly warm.
Left overs and then ready meals - just watch the salt and "crud" content of some ready meals (and soups))
Will try to think of what else I have!

Japanese microwave rice packs are really good. You'll need to get online or from a Japanese store, but its better quality than Uncle Bens or the brands you get here.
Also, curry heats up nicely in the microwave...just take some leftovers in a Tupperware...
combine the two and bob is your father's brother.
