Curious,
If I relocated, could I work extra hours in the first few months to help with costs.
After you've had your 60%, what would I have in an average week? How many guys do you have at the moment?
Age limits?
Is it one of the fleet of Octavias?
Oops sorry. I'll answer your questions if I can. We have 14 drivers at the moment, and some that come and go throughout the year (semi-retired, live in spain that sort of thing). If I relocated, could I work extra hours in the first few months to help with costs.

Age limits are really a minimum of 21 (you have to be driving at least 3 years and the insurance companies don't like younger taxi drivers, although it can be done).
Yes it's one of the octavia's. Last Peugeot gets replaced in a Fortnight Thank

My youngest driver, Simon, relocated from Northampton to work for me so it can be done. His family live in the area though and his Dad, and Grandad work on the firm - They actually outnumber the chiefs that bloody family

Thanks for your reply. I'm only 19 at the moment, which is a bit of a bugger. What is the council that you work under?

Hi,
I had an e mail from reed.com about this job, so i typed in your company name in google and found this.
I have a private hire licence but it expired in september 06. I have been meaning to renew it but have not got around to it because i am unsure if i need to do my DSA taxi test again.
I have got the medical and the CRB check and they are both still valid, i am hoping my test cert is still valid.
I live nr Sandwich have a clean licence and have done a little driving for a company in Deal. I totally forgot to renew my licence at the time as i was not driving for anyone.
Do you know if i will need to re-take my dsa test? I will be better off calling Dover district council to find out. Also will my licence be valid in Canterbury if its Dover?
Would the job be on a self employment basis?
Thanks
Jeff

Hello
When you say you are going to be branching out into east kent next i take it that you mean Medway area or do you mean somewhere closer to Canterbury.
Anyway i am really interested, been driving nearly 20 years and need a career change. Clean bill of health and no criminal record. When can i start....
