Mine is Latigo Canyon, California.

229 turns, over 11 miles. Simply magical.

Litre-bikes (and 750s) regularly lose out there, to sports cars (yup, sadly!) and supermotos.

A close second is Route 2 out of LA. 'Angeles Crest Highway'.
If you can't ride it, look it up and sob!

For me pretty much any of the mountain roads round here!

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&ge...

Did the complete round trip while staying in Pas de la casa in andorra via spain and france back again in one day in June 2004! We came off the N-260 in spain during the route and did something like 70km of no more than 2nd gear twisties up and down the mountain side ;-)

Gotta be Buxton, UK for me. Have so much fun on way up to Cat and Fiddle with my mates. Overtaking caravans around bends on other side of road.
But cant forget isle of mann on mountain top. Gotta have some big balls for that though!

Not done any overseas riding yet ... so for me it has to be Blakey Ridge in the North York Moors [part of the Yorkshire TT]! Just watch out for the sheep, 12 miles of flat out riding.

I agree, i live near the Cat and Fiddle.
The Husky is truly superb along there, where really, really high speeds don't count.

The road that links Bourg-St.Maurice to Bourg-en-Bresse is pretty special. Had probably the best ride of my life there a couple of years ago with 6 others. I'm sure Andy OH will be along in a minute to confirm! smile

Another fine road is Route Napoleon, in Provence.

It's the road up to Grenoble from Gap and is great on a bike.
From there, you can go to Briancon and back round, as a 200-mile circular.

True, but remember that the A82 in the final 50 miles up to Fort William has regular speed checks.

I know it's not the longest road in the world, but Frimley Green to Deep-cut in Surrey is 5 miles of sweeping corners, one after the other, with off camber, dropping away bends and a short straight (fast and bumpybiglaugh)
Often on a Sunday do you pass the same riders, heading up and back the sam bit.

For me the mountain road between Luca and Maranello. Don't know what its called but its awesome, just about every type of riding you can think of, all sorts of cars and bikes on it and amazing views. Everyone should try it and when you get to Maranello its off to Ferrari to try their wares... Fantastic!

Fantastic road, rode it in may '04, was still pretty cold at the top though!

The best roads i've found are in the US south west, 89a from Jerome to Sedona Arizona was one of my favourites & The US1 around big sur. Also some geat roads in the National Parks, Joshua tree, Death Valley & Yosemite has some fantastic biking roads too!

Route 2 was closed in November, when a few of us rode north-east on it.
Bloody great gates across the road, just 5-10 minutes from the end, which was our path to Interstate 15, too. (We were heading for Las Vegas).
Great road.

Route 247 from Yucca Valley, going north is good, too.
