ECU Removal video
Discussion
Well, I finally finished editing and uploading the instructional video of the ECU removal for my 93 SE.
It's a bit cheesy, but I think it's a nice companion to the various instructions and pictures if you are considering doing the job.
Feel free to check it out in the images section of my site. Until my web site hosting company pulls their heads out of their asses, it is in a downloadable zip file. 3.5 Megs.

If I don't get teased too much on the Mr. Rogers delivery, I'll do more of them (like the BOV video I wanted to do, but it was too cramped...will do when Andy Wheeler installs his.)

Seeing that I would like to remove and have Clyde update my ECU in the near future your video detailed and explained the removal perfectly.
Thanks and great job!

Red '97 V8
Be warned, on the V8 you can't "pop the chip" (in fact, I think there are two that are important). What the dealers normally do is; remove the ecu, ship to Lotus Cars, they load the new code, then the ecu is plugged back in.
...If you own a V8 and have not had the high torque code added, you should do so ASAP. It allows smoother delivery of the torque through lower revs. If you do any city driving at all, this makes the car an even bigger joy to drive...

PS: Edited to add - and the chips (I believe) are soddered in...
