Where do I find a 400D's serial number?

For the cash back promotion. Bought the camera in December, so even though I'm being a little slow, it should work...

I have to say, they do seem to have gone out of their way to make the cash back scheme complicated...

it's printed on the box and also on the bottom of the camera.

From memory, you need to cut the barcode off the box and send it to them. You did keep the box, didn't you...

That's certainly how the cashback promo on lenses worked...

Yes, I have the cutout bit in my pocket as we speak. You also need the serial number though and I believe that's only on the camera.

(It doesn't tell you that until the second stage of the cashback thing - I swear these things are done in the hop you'll give up. It wasn't exactly easy to locate on the Canon site either.)

The serial number on the 400D is on the bottom of the camera, roughly in the centre, printed black on silver - mine is a 10 digit number - no. is printer before the start of the serial number.

Worth sending off for the cash-back - Canon sent mine twice!
