Help! RS specialist advice needed
Discussion
Hi,
I've been trying to install a short-shift gearlever on my 1990 964 C2, using the parts from the 964 RS (gear lever and bracket)
Apparently it just does not fit: "This gear change is becoming a complete nightmare!, It just does not fit. When installed you are unable to refit the tunnel cover that protects the fuel lines and noise as it hangs down too low.
I have looked through the parts list again and we defiantly have the right parts now, the only conclusion I can see is that the tunnel on a RS is different."
Can anyone help out? I can't believe the tunnel on a 964 RS was actually different just for a gear lever mounting! I know some people have made this upgrade and I'm wondering if there's something obvious that we're missing here...
Any help appreciated,
Fox
